Last Days

Being in a career where customer relationships are absolutely critical you have to take time to respond to this issue knowing that every single one of your clients is expecting you to fix the problem right now. So being in one of those moments where tempers are high and patience low, it was very calming to read Steve Jobs commencement address to the graduating class of Stanford University.

Some excerpts from his speech that really struck a chord:

If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
