Larry Hryb, popularly known as Major Nelson, has just released a new Xbox 360 theme. What’s triggered a tad amount of jealousy is the 10:30 AM Xbox 360 Test Session currently shown on his smartphone screen shot. To add to this, in this week’s Xbox blogcast/ podcast he describes testing his first multiplayer Xbox 360 game. Crazy Microsoft benefits.
In the past Larry’s run various Xbox themed contests and also covered E3 quite well, so if you have any remote interest in the Xbox platform, I’d definiately recommend adding his blog to your aggregator.
Speaking of the Xbox, I just renewed my service contract for the console. Does anyone else think that service contracts are one of those unnecessary layers of cushion that you always don’t have when you need them most?
I’ve been putting off getting my apartment sprayed or fumigated or whatever it is that the pest killers do, but these house centipede’s (See Below) are really starting to annoy me. They’re only about an inch long and you could easily stomp on them but they blend so well with brown carpeting and their long legs paint a vicious picture. I only come across one or two every summer, but it’s enough to lead me to believe that there’s a nest somewhere close by and if I don’t take adequate preventive measures it’s going to end up being an infestation of some sorts – think next Hollywood lackluster titled The Centipede. Thankfully, the spraying/ fumigation/ pest killing is a free service from my apartment complex and I’m hoping that it’ll be a lesson for any other insects that this apartment is not hospitable for their kind.

Why is Microsoft Excel displaying all my rows and columns with numbers instead of the standard R1C1 reference? I tried changing the settings back to the default by clicking on Tools – Options and selecting R1C1 reference style under the General tab, however, this didn’t make a difference. Does Excel have a similar Normal.dot default document template or are there command line options to repair the Excel template? As a temporary solution I opened a previously saved Excel file with R1C1 row/ column references and this seems to have corrected the problem, but I’m still stumped and quite baffled as to how this problem started.
I’m preparing breakfast for friends from my church this Sunday. This is going to be an interesting experiment, primarily because my culinary skills specialize in the reheating of frozen meals and the expert concoction of various cereal brands with milk. After searching half a dozen recipes online and offline, begging, borrowing and buying various ingredients, pots and pans, I’ve settled on a menu of orange julius, cheesy ham and hash brown casserole, muffins and a fruit salad. Now all that’s left is putting it together – perhaps this once I should follow directions.
Below is the recipe to the cheesy ham and hash brown casserole as listed from the All Recipes website:
1 (32 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes
8 ounces cooked, diced ham
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of potato soup
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix hash browns, ham, cream of potato soup, sour cream, and Cheddar cheese. Spread evenly into prepared dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until bubbly and lightly brown. Serve immediately.

How would Zambia†get zambia.com back into ownership by the Government of Zambia? You may or may not remember a Virtual Countries, Inc. verses Republic of South Africa lawsuit regarding the soutafrica.com domain name and how the Republic of South Africa demanded the domain name from the registrants. Unliked this approach, I believe the country should rather take the more amicable way yet constantly run into an ethical dilemma on right of ownership. Am I even right in considering that this should be worth trying for as my only basis for argument is that the zambia.com domain is currently used merely as a placeholder for various advertisements. Shouldn’t such a valuable domain name be used for helping a country that is trying to ride a new wave of development? Do you even need a country.com domain name to promote new initiatives from the country when you really should let these initiatives speak for themselves? Thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
