  1. I have tried both ways of trying to uninstall and neither is working for me and I will explain why: there was never an addition to Add/remove programs after show updates was checked that showed the update and the uninstall folder never appeared in the windows directory. I am trying to uninstall beta 1 to install beta 2 and im drowning here. I am not a n00b, i have all files and folders visible, The entries are just not there. Please advise, someone. Thanks you

  2. Both options do not work for me. I am unable to crack this. I want to get rid of this IE7. Someone help!

  3. Same problem…can anyone help?

It’s not showing up in the add/remove programs list and the $NtUninstallie7bet2p$ folder is not present in my Windows directory (hidden files are all shown)

  4. I’ve seen this happen in situations where you may have run a program such as CCleaner. CCleaner has an option that will delete all $NTUninstall folders. If the folder is deleted, Windows XP does not have a way to roll back the installation of the particular KB or program.

  5. Hi with one user account ie7 beta is installed, now that account has been removed.
Is there any way to unintall ie7 in administrator privilage

  6. Hi,
If It’s not showing up in the add/remove programs list and the $NtUninstallie7bet2p$ folder is not present in my Windows directory (hidden files are all shown).
How can I remove/reinstall IE7 ? Is any registry cleaner procedure or something else ?

    thanks a lot

  7. I had the same problem. C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallie7beta2$\spuninst\spuninst.exe
didn’t exist on my computer anymore either. So what I did was I installed the exact
same version I had installed on this computer onto another computer.

From this other computer I copied hidden file: $NtUninstallie7beta2$ and placed
it in C:\WINDOWS of the computer on which it was lost.
    Then I ran command: %windir%\$NtUninstallie7beta2$\spuninst\spuninst.exe
and my problem was solved and IE 7 beta2 was removed:-)

  8. This whole this is not cracked up to what it’s claimed to be, my advice stay out of it completely until they get a simpler version, I have lost so many of my dependable tools on the bar it’s like having to study it out all over again as if I were just starting,
My opionion is – it stinks and more bother than it’s worth.
