Windows Live News Alerts has just been released. Unlike Windows Live Alerts, which allows you to create and receive alerts from a wide list of providers (e.g. Newsweek, Ebay, MSNBC, Fox) and even set up quiet times and delivery locations (e.g. Messenger, Mobile Device, Email) Windows Live News Alerts is fairly basic. Branding issues aside, currently, the service allows you to create an alert and then receive the latest news updates from Live Search sent directly to your inbox. With custom news alerts, you can choose:
- The type of stories you want to see
- How often you get your alerts
