Lansdowne is now considered a Classic Town. According to the Classic Towns site, Classic Towns of Greater Philadelphia is an initiative of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) designed to foster the growth of the region’s older communities by promoting what makes each community a wonderful place to live, work, and play.
